Hey there!

And just like that, it's a new year full of possibilities and adventure. What wonderful things do you have planned? How about feeding your creative spirit with some fun classes?

Get your hands dirty and make some prints...
or stay clean and carve some animals out of soap...

discover poetry in the pages of discarded books...

...or just plain having a little Doodlefest with friends?

Check out our selection of classes in the studio.
Spring break classes, too!

just a little reminder...

Here's a little Tuesday night doodle…
when it's finished it will go into the Etsy shop.
In the meantime, I'm working on a new class schedule for spring.
Stay tuned!

homework

I've been giving my students homework sketchbook assignments, and I thought it would be a good idea to do the assignments myself. Last week we worked on shading and cross-hatching, and I introduced them to the wonders of the Bic ballpoint pen. So far we've only worked in pencil, and I wanted them to expand their horizons.

The assignment was to sketch a still life, but for some reason I'm kind of fixated on chairs...I've been doing one or two a day and I don't think I'll be running out of subjects any time soon.
